Camilo Peñalver
I’m Camilo. I’m 24. I’m from the Caribbean Coast of Colombia. For 16 years of my life I stuttered and couldn’t pronounce the letter «r». I learned to edit videos and create content since I was a child. I formally studied Social Communication and Journalism, and Psychology.
Currently, I’m dedicated to building Gurwi, the startup that seeks to change the way knowledge is created and distributed, and Clatri, the agentic app to organize all aspects of human and corporate life, including finances, health, and personal growth. At the same time, I work as a developer at a company specialized in bioinformatics software.
I have a published book called Cansancio y libertad (2022), which is a novel about what it means to be young in the shortcomings of development and wanting to be free. I have won several national grants and been featured in the news. On October 14th, I won the international Shipaton hackathon with Gurwi.
Sometimes I create content about serious topics, like history, business, and technology. Thanks to this I have built an audience of more than 100,000 people across all my social networks. When I’m free I play the accordion.
If you want to know more about me, I invite you to read this essay where I tell part of my story and how I ended up doing the things I do.
